Notice that the scale goes up in twos and only shows the even numbers.

So any bar that is half way between two even numbers shows an odd number.

Notice that the scale goes up in tens, with five marks between each ten. These marks go up in twos.

Notice that the scale goes up in hundreds.

So any bar that is half way between two hundreds shows a number ending in 50.
